Accountant - fixed assets (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Silverline Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
