Accountant - fixed assets (Charleston, SC)

Ironwood Quarry Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Charleston. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
