Accountant - fixed assets (Charleston, SC)

Clearpath Lakeside Care Services provides in-home and community support in Charleston, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around client records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
