Accountant - fixed assets (Buffalo, NY)

Highbridge Cobalt Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for attendance records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around learning materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to attendance records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with attendance records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
