Accountant - fixed assets (Buffalo, NY)

Stonegate Ridge Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Buffalo. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with batch records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
