Accountant - fixed assets (Buffalo, NY)

Redstone Beacon Pharma develops and makes medicines in Buffalo, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 526 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory filings, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory filings. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
