Accountant - fixed assets (Boston, MA)

Highbridge Pike Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Boston producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
