Accountant - fixed assets (Boise, ID)

Highbridge Rook Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Boise, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with promotions. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boise. • We reply to every applicant.
