Accountant - fixed assets (Birmingham, AL)

Clearpath Ivory Hospitality Group is a hospitality company in Birmingham with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
