Accountant - fixed assets (Birmingham, AL)

Clearpath Timber Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for clinical evaluations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with clinical evaluations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
