Accountant - fixed assets (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Redstone Ivory Health Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to electronic records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with electronic records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
