Accountant - fixed assets (Baltimore, MD)

Ironwood Ridge Medical Group builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Baltimore, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
