Accountant - fixed assets (Atlanta, GA)

Fernwood Field Staffing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for client orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around temp assignments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with client orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
