Accountant - fixed assets (Atlanta, GA)

Fernwood Summit Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for parts orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with parts orders. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
