Accountant - fixed assets (Atlanta, GA)

Silverline Ridge Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Atlanta. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 420 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service appointments. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
