Accountant - fixed assets (Atlanta, GA)

We are growing our team at Lumen North Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Atlanta. • We reply to every applicant.
