Accountant - fixed assets (Atlanta, GA)

Harborlight Summit Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Atlanta. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
