Accountant - fixed assets (Anchorage, AK)

Bluepeak Corner Property Management Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for resident events, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around rent collection against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident events, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
