Accountant - fixed assets (Anchorage, AK)

Fernwood Rook Staffing Group places workers with employers around Anchorage, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to onboarding, and clear open items. • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
