Accountant - fixed assets (Anchorage, AK)

Amberfield Meadow Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 151 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
