Accountant - fixed assets (Albuquerque, NM)

We are growing our team at Nova Umber Facilities and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 989 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Track costs around cleaning schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Albuquerque, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
