Accountant - fixed assets (Albuquerque, NM)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Pine Community Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around food distribution against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Albuquerque, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
