Accountant - fixed assets (Albuquerque, NM)

Northwind Quill Facilities looks after properties across the Albuquerque region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
