Accountant - audit preparation (Wichita, KS)

Ironwood Pine Financial serves customers across Wichita with accounts, loans and payments, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around account servicing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
