Accountant - audit preparation (Tulsa, OK)

Northwind Forge Arts Center Group is a cultural organisation in Tulsa presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 221 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to event logistics, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around volunteer programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Tulsa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
