Accountant - audit preparation (Tucson, AZ)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Haven Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Tucson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
