Accountant - audit preparation (Tucson, AZ)

Summit Willow Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Tucson region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tucson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
