Accountant - audit preparation (Toledo, OH)

Foxglove Haven Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Toledo, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance stores. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
