Accountant - audit preparation (Toledo, OH)

Clearpath Sparrow Care Services provides in-home and community support in Toledo. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
