Accountant - audit preparation (Spokane, WA)

Amberfield Summit Auto Group is a Spokane company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service appointments. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
