Accountant - audit preparation (Spokane, WA)

Stonegate Fox Construction Partners delivers building projects for owners across the Spokane region, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
