Accountant - audit preparation (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Redstone River Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service appointments. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
