Accountant - audit preparation (Savannah, GA)

Redstone Maple Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for cleanroom operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleanroom operations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cleanroom operations. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
