Accountant - audit preparation (San Jose, CA)

Lumen Sable Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for clinical evaluations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with clinical evaluations. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
