Accountant - audit preparation (San Diego, CA)

Westbrook Hollow Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for client records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client records.
