Accountant - audit preparation (San Diego, CA)

Amberfield Wilder Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for complaint handling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 68 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to complaint handling, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
