Accountant - audit preparation (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Cedar Bridge Care Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around care plans against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with licensing. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
