Accountant - audit preparation (San Antonio, TX)

Clearpath Pike Property Management looks after rental homes across the San Antonio area, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent collection, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with rent collection. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
