Accountant - audit preparation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Silverline Yarrow Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Salt Lake City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around group events against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
