Accountant - audit preparation (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Cobalt Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 501 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
