Accountant - audit preparation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Foxglove Pine Housing Group manages affordable housing communities across Salt Lake City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 97 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to waiting lists, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with waiting lists. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
