Accountant - audit preparation (Sacramento, CA)

Stonegate Umber Facilities Group looks after properties across the Sacramento region, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer sites, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
