Accountant - audit preparation (Richmond, VA)

Bright Cross Health provides primary and specialty care in Richmond, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 681 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
