Accountant - audit preparation (Richmond, VA)

Highbridge Willow Medical Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for clinical evaluations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 64 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with clinical evaluations. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
