Accountant - audit preparation (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Clear Care Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 901 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to visit scheduling, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with visit scheduling. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Richmond. • We reply to every applicant.
