Accountant - audit preparation (Reno, NV)

Silverline Meadow Press Group produces print and digital publications in Reno. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to print quotes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with print quotes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
