Accountant - audit preparation (Reno, NV)

Rivermark Union Legal Group is a Reno practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to trust accounts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around billing records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
