Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Clearpath Pike Construction Group is a Savannah contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around safety records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to subcontractor invoices, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
