Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Lumen Sable Auto Group is a San Jose company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
