Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Silverline Haven Construction is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for change orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
